Fall

Sorry it has been a month since I posted.
There has been a lot going on!
My baby sister Dulce is in town and we have been having so much fun together.
I will steal her i-phone and post our cool pictures soon.
School started so that has kept us busy.
Austin has a new job and a crazy schedule which makes it so our days off don't correlate.
I am having surgery next week, nothing big but I am going to have to go under and be in an actual OR, Alma is jealous of course :)
We are moving into a house in November which we are super excited about... living in an apartment has gotten too frustrating.
Zuke is doing well, just having fun with his auntie pitee  (Dulce's nickname since Leo was a baby)
We have done lots of shopping, cooking, baking and crafting... pictures will come!
We are loving that it is now fall and although fall in Arizona does not compare to fall in New Hampshire, it is nice that we can still go in the pool during the day and enjoy the nice, cooler evenings.
I will be back to post more this weekend...
promise.

California Dreaming

We hadn't been to California in a while and we had the opportunity to attend Austin's good friend Mitch's wedding a few weekends back and had a blast!
We left for San Diego Friday morning and got there just in time for dinner.
It was nice to hang out with Mitch and his family and celebrate the special time with them.
Friday night mostly consisted of the boys going out with the bachelor and the girls staying at the hotel and playing cards (which I was pretty good at, I might add) haha.
Saturday was the big day.
We woke up way early, after not getting much sleep the night before and headed to the San Diego Temple.

I had never been there before. It was breathtakingly beautiful.
We hung out outside and waiting for the newly married Mr. & Mrs. Dunn to come out of the temple!
It was so beautiful to see.

We then had some free time between the wedding and reception so Austin and his two friends Bryan and Tyler, and I all headed down to the beach for a yummy lunch and some beach time.

We really didn't have too much and we didn't want to get too sandy
or gross before the reception so we just had a short visit to the beach where I got to wiggle my toes in the sand and stick my feet in the water.

It was so relaxing.

We then headed to Corona, CA for the reception.
Everything looked so beautiful.
We ate, we danced, we laughed, we had a blast!
That night we drove to Palm Springs and stayed the night there.
Sunday morning after sleeping in a little, we had some brunch ( according to the time we ate) and headed home.
We got home just in time to pick up Zuke, unpack, do laundry, take showers and rest before our crazy week.
We love our friends Mitch & Amanda! :)

"I've got a love that comes in colors..."

Double Craft night!
My friend Brooke and I, love to craft so since we still have some time off from school we decided to take advantage of it and craft. craft. craft.
Night one:
We made flower necklaces.

Those flowers are pretty time consuming to make!

 We each made five!

 yay hot glue.

hers are blue mine are black/gray

 the after math!

 adorable huh?

Day 2 of crafting!
shirt making!
more like shirt decorating!

 the final product :)

i made each of the flowers :)

 Zuke was very helpful!

 love ittt.

we look pretty dang cute! :)

Austin spent the weekend at the cabin with Donovan.
A double craft night was a must!
School starts in 2 weeks.
we need another craft night before then!

"She's the brightest thing I've got, when I'm covered in rain, rain, rain"

I love my husband.
I love weekends at the cabin.
I love rain.

We made kind of a last minute decision to head to the cabin this weekend
and spend some quality time together.
Austin and his dad bought little Enduro bikes and headed over the mountains and through the woods.
They left at about 6pm and didn't make it to the cabin until 11:15 pm.
I left in my little civic with Zuke at 8:45 pm and pulled in at the cabin 11:15pm.
They clearly took the long route. (Intentionally)
We spent the weekend riding the Enduros all over the place.
The weather was perfect.
Then it rained.
Rain on a bike going 45 mph on a dirt road = stinging  on your face. (ouch)
The thunder and lightning were incredible.
So exciting.

We also played some games...

I built a pyramid
Then it fell
Then, I built it again.

Love playing in the rain with Zuke.

A lot of playing :)

The rain was so fun!

Fixing a broken water thing (well, the boys did it, i watched)
(Yes he is upside down in a hole)
We watched movies, of course.
Ate, a lot. (no pics, I was too busy stuffing my face)
And rode around some more

Love the view
Zuke and I headed back in the car  Sunday morning and the boys rode their bikes home.

Zuke 5 mins into the drive.
Zuke 10 minutes into the drive.
Zuke mad at me for taking his picture.

It was a relaxing weekend.
A much needed one.
